BISCUIT TIN BLUES (IMDb) by Jack Rath
Kell and Joe, two one-time band mates, meet again in Berlin after the death of their former lead singer and mutual lover Viv. To honor her last wish and pay their respects, they embark on a road trip through the German provinces to her hometown on the banks of the river Rhein.
Awarded as “Best Feature Film” at Soundscreen Film Festival in Italy, as “Best Narrative Feature” at Pillusion Film Festival, as “Best Feature Film” at IRMF and successfully celebrated at Solothurner Filmtage 2025.
STAND UP – LOOKING FOR LOVE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES (IMDb) by Timo Jacobs
Charlie Schwarzer’s career as a stand-up no longer takes off. His forgetfulness is diagnosed as dementia and before he can talk to his beloved Emilie about it, she leaves him. Charlie explores his failures and tries to rediscover humor, becoming involved in an art heist in the process. The “image of love” has been lost. We embark on an odyssey back to the stage of life.
Awarded as “Best Feature Film” in Beverly Hills and “Best Actor”, “Best Actress” and “Best Supporting Actor” in New York, the film has won more than 45 awards worldwide in 2021.
LUFT (IMDb) by Max Hegewald
Basti and Raffaela are both in their mid-twenties, Raffaela is writing her bachelor’s thesis and isn’t making any progress and Basti works in a graphics start-up and is frustrated. Raffaela breaks up with him, Basti accepts this and feels incapable of doing anything. Luft tells the story from a state of agony, an agony of the internship generation, which is faced with a multitude of possibilities in its life and yet is unable to choose a path or make a decision. Making decisions has never been so free and at the same time so difficult. And what does a glass of Majonese have to do with it?
Nominated as “Best Medium Length Feature Film” at Achtung Berlin – New Berlin Film Award 2019.
